Walton's Mango Manor Description:
Said to be a unique area on Cayman Brac, apparently this is a personalized, intimate B&B that's more richly decorated, more elegant, and more appealing than you might have thought possible in such a remote place.
Originally said to be the home of a sea captain, the Walton's Mango Manor was moved to a less exposed location and rebuilt from salvaged materials shortly after the disastrous hurricane of 1932.
Set on 1 hectare (2 1/2 acres) on the island's north shore, situated within a garden area, it claims to contains intriguing touches such as a banister salvaged from the mast of a 19th-century schooner. Guests say the best Walton's Mango Manor accommodations are on the upper floor and have narrow balconies that offer views of the sea.
Each room has a small bathroom equipped with a shower stall. Recently added is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom luxury villa, this is said to be the perfect getaway for two to four guests.
Resort History:
The Walton family was said to be one of the first families to settle on Cayman Brac. Generations later the Walton's Mango Manor was established with the traveler in mind. They say that they have incorporated island history and traditions for a true 'Islander' experience.
